This is a step-by-step guide on how to setup a POP3 email account on a PC for Outlook
Please Note: the version used for this guide is Outlook 2013
Firstly, Navigate to the Windows Start menu and type "Control Panel" Like so:Please Note: the version used for this guide is Outlook 2013
Once inside the Control Panel Window, Navigate to "Mail":
Once inside Mail, You will be greeted with the "Mail Setup" window:
From here, If you alread have a pre-existing profile, click "E-mail Accounts..." and skip ahead to step 6. If not, Click "Show Profiles":
Click "Add..." and Proceed to add a new user profile, Enter your desired profile and click "OK":
You will be prompted to add a new email account, select "Manual setup or additional server types" and Click "Next >":
Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next >":
Proceed to enter your account details and select POP3 as the account type and click "More Settings..." (Please note, the below are example settings and not your login credentials, please refer to below as a template):
Within the "Internet E-mail Settings" window that opens upon clicking more settings, navigate to the "Advanced" tab and change the settings to correspond with those shown below:
Please note you can configure the "Delivery" section to your own preferences. Click "OK" and you will be returned to the Add Account window, click "Next >" to finish configuring your account, your account will now be setup.
